Socialism is good, actually. And why ought we compromise our ideals, especially when my ideals center the suffering of those most vulnerable and most oppressed? This is the very definition of being principled. Citation needed on compromising with those advocating for continued unnecessary suffering. I'd rather change hearts and minds about what is possible and what is morally right.

I find the ideals, if they can be called that, of those who tell the oppressed that incrementalism is the answer to be the narrow, misguided viewpoint. It is privilege and cowardice rolled into a political ideology masked as pragmatism. I consider myself fortunate to be free of it.
